As promised, I am taking some time to sit down and write you another e-mail with another story from my childhood home. When I was visiting my mom and granny in the early 2000s, I was sitting at the dining room table with my granny. I saw something out of the corner of my eye just outside of the window, but when I looked I didn't see anything. There is a big.

2:14 Crepe. Myrtle tree just outside. The window so I. Thought it might have been a. Bird or a squirrel? Then I saw it again and turned my head very fast and my granny noticed. She asked did you see her and motioned to the window. I told her I saw something move but didn't see what it was. She said it's her. I asked her to tell me more. She. Hesitated, but started telling. Me how they would see her walking outside the window or sometimes down the hallway. She told me that they didn't know. Who she was or where she came from, but that she always gave her and my mom bad feelings but didn't really do too much more than that.

3:01 She told me that they called her Henrietta once. After they had started. Seeing Henry around and they said that she got very upset and the entire room got cold and they both felt very sick. After that, they didn't know what to call her. And they just tried. To avoid her when she was around. I. Asked her how long. She'd been around and Granny said about four or five months. A couple of weeks. Later I was. Visiting again and I was sitting in the back of my mom's room talking to her and I heard my granny. Call my mom's. Name My mom was holding my daughter and giving her a bottle so. I told her that I would. Go check on her when I got up to my granny's room. She was.

3:44 Sleeping in her recliner. I. Quietly called out to her and she didn't move or acknowledge me. So I figure. She may have called out in her sleep. I went back to my mom's room and told her that Granny was. Sleeping my mom. Looked at me and said it must. Be her. I was like, who? The lady that walks around the house. She said yes, that she had been calling her name and when she goes to check. On her that. Granny was usually sleeping or just watching TVI asked how long this had been going on and she said about a week. I was on the phone a few days later with my mom and she heard my granny call her name and walked up to check on her and said she was sleeping and that the lady had been calling her more and more and it was getting more frequent since I had left the last time. She also told me that a couple of times she had felt someone pull her hair just a little.

4:45 I told. Her that I would look into it and see what I could do. I did some research and found that you can burn a black candle. And it can potentially trap a spirit. And then you can throw the wax into moving water and it should get rid of the spirit. So I decided that's what I would. Try. I went to an occult shop in Austin before my next visit and got a black candle. I told my mom what I wanted to try and she was open. To the idea. Since she was getting tired of hearing her name being called at all hours of the day and night, when I got to the house, I asked my mom where she had seen her, heard her. Last. And she said it was in her room so I told her to give me some time and I would be upfront soon. I lit the candle and sat there and watched it burn down to nothing when I looked.

5:29 At the wax. I saw something there and asked my mom to look and she said she saw a woman's face. My mom and I went down to the river that runs through the town and I threw the wax into the moving water thankfully after that day. None of us saw or. Heard her again. Talk about not just supernatural explanations, but also mundane explanations.

Time and then when you hear the. Voice you can make. Sure, you can go back and look at the footage. Enhance. Enhance. That you can see was. Granny actually calling out her daughter's name? Maybe we'll never know. That's the thing. About some of these stories is you'll never know. I kind of like not knowing. I kind of like. I hate not knowing. Things, but I also in some cases I do. Recognize that it is better to not.

Looking at here, what kind of haunting because. It's clearly a haunting. What happened? Is it a residual? Haunting. Or is it an? Intelligent, haunting. I feel like it added an extra. I feel like I'm. Throwing in some extra. Syllables. Syllables. In there. So let me start that over. Residual haunting or intelligent haunting, which one are we looking at here? All right. So as as we've talked. About before residual hauntings. Those are also called psychic impressions. It's. Basically like the clip of a. Movie playing on loop. Across time forever, ad nauseam.

Scientific claim that ghosts and hauntings occur when traumatic events are imprinted on certain stones or other materials. Like, I guess plaster. Walls. Question mark. And are subsequently replayed. Similar to a magnetic. Tape recording. Besides residual hauntings or stone tape theory hauntings. You've got your intelligent hauntings, Beetlejuice, however stupid he may seem. Is an intelligent, haunting basically every horror movie with a ghost. Is an intelligent haunting. The 6th. Sense. Full of intelligent hauntings. Whether the Spirit?

So there is a mimicry about, but I don't think. It is a mimic TM, but I think it's safe to say it's not a mimic because you were seeing her from the corner of your eye. Like mimic wasn't enough. I could have done some other ones. It's fine, don't worry about it. So the term mimic. Ghost shot up in popularity, like way high in popularity in February 2022, which apparently, apparently I did not know this. If you're listening and you know what? I'm going to say Gold Star to you. Gold Star, apparently.

Game, which I assume is a reference to the Dungeons and Dragons monster of the same name, but cannot be sure. Then interest dipped back down, but it was still higher than it was before 2022. And then? It spiked a little bit again and I looked up what? Game. Came out around the time that the new spike happened and it was DLC. For Elden Ring, it's still Elden. Ring. So I. Blame Elden Ring for. Just bringing it into. Like, I don't know. The cultural zeitgeist. Am I using that? Term properly? Who knows? We may never know. Do you know why? Mimics have. If I were a. Paranormal investigator and I had to make a. Call remotely without being there to actually. Investigate, I guess. I would say that. This is an intelligent haunting of some kind. But then I would also want to know. What had changed or happened around the? Time that the lady showed up. Like anything emotional, anything. Stressful. Or like, were you? Guys moving? Stuff around the house. Were you doing construction? On the House. Like did someone pass? Away was someone. Going to pass away. You know, just. Just those. Or hey, did you bring a cursed? Object in the house.

And misfortune. And folk. Magic known as cunning. Craft or hedge witchery? Which I love. Hedge Witchery.

So what you see in a lot of medieval alchemy, you've got colors yellow, white, red, black, right? Well, those also align. Those colors? Align with the four. Humors of Greek. Medicine. Ancient Greek medicine, to be clear. Yellow. Bile phlegm, which is white, Blood which is red, obviously. And black bile. Famously, everyone knows black bile. And if you're curious, what are the humors? Humorism.

The concept of humors may have origins in ancient Egyptian medicine or Mesopotamia. Although it was not. Systemized until Greek thinkers. So the word. Exposed to something, but you don't actually do the research to fully understand the concept. And now I'm kind of putting this all together, I guess if you. Have too much blood? Leeches. I bet leeches are kind of for. All of the humor problems anyway. Black bile was associated with a melancholy. Nature and get this. The word. Melancholy itself. Derives from the Greek word for.

OK, I thought this was really. Interesting too because I guess I did wonder like where do they even come up with? This stuff. Well, here you go. A Swedish. Physician suggested that. Drawn in a glass container and left undisturbed for about an hour. 4 different layers. Can be seen.

Going with this. So anyway. We've got black bile, right? And then going. Back to alchemy. I looked it up. Pluto. Is the planet associated? With black. How do we know Pluto? Let's see. It's almost like we were really familiar with. Pluto, not the planet. The God. And that's. Because in. Ancient Greek religion and. Mythology.

Even in modern. Wicca black candles represent. Loss, Sadness, Discord releasement. I don't know if that's. A word, negativity, etcetera. I mean, doesn't that sound? Crazy familiar like. Is this where we got black? As a banishment color for candle magic I you know I honestly don't have a definitive answer because I had to rein myself in because otherwise I will spend an entire week researching.

From the same pack, and then you charge one of them with your energy and you don't charge the other one. And you charge that one with your energy by like rubbing. Your hands together and. And holding the candle tight and kind of like. Picturing and imagining putting your energy into it. And maybe. You have a specific. Thought that you have like you you want to. Charge it. With the positive good. Luck, energy, and then you think. I don't know. Lucky thoughts anyway. You have to. Spend a few minutes doing this. She's very. Specific you have to. Spend a few minutes doing this. This is. Extremely important. You only do that. To the one candle, though, you leave the other candle alone. Then you use a flame to soften. The little butt of both of the candles. I don't know what else you call that. I think it's a butt you.

24:31 You like the little candle, but just enough. So that the candle melts. And then you stick both of those candles straight up on a plate. Or a surface, probably a plate, and then you light. Both and then. You watch how they act now, Madame Pamita. Says. That the one you energetically charged should burn brighter or have a stronger flame or something like that. Something impressive. Maybe it burns quicker? But she does put the onus on you. That if. You didn't put in. Real effort into infusing the one candle with your energy. Then it won't work. Which is kind of. What you hear a lot of like snake oil type salesman say like if. They're selling you something and it doesn't. Work. It's your fault. It's your fault. Obviously it's not their fault. It's your fault you didn't believe hard enough or pray hard. Enough or spend enough? Money or yada yada. Yada, but I'm not.

Like with your hand because she specifically. Says rub your hands together to get them warm and then you're holding the candle in your hand for. A few minutes. And then I feel like one of them is going to. Burn faster, don't you think so? I guess maybe part of the? Experiment is that. We got to charge it energetically. And then put it in the refrigerator. Let it. Like come back. To room temperature I don't know, but they both need.
